about me

Archita Mittra is a writer, editor and artist, with a fondness for dark and fantastical things.

She completed her B.A (2018) and M.A (2020) in English Literature from Jadavpur University and a Diploma in Multimedia and Animation from St. Xavier’s College (2016). She is also a graduate of the Foundry Photo-Journalism Workshop (2018), and was a part of the Clarion West Write-A-Thon (2020).

She has been freelancing as a writer, editor, journalist, and English teacher for over seven years now and enjoys taking up challenging creative projects. Her creative and content writing work has been profiled and published in numerous publications, including Tor, Strange Horizons, Mithila Review, Thought Catalog, ScreenRant, Lifehack, among others, and has been nominated for the Pushcart, best of the net and other prizes.

When she isn’t writing speculative fiction or drawing fanart, she can be found playing indie games, making jewelry out of recycled material, reading a dark fantasy novel, baking cakes, or deciding which new Tarot deck to buy.

She lives in Kolkata, India, with her family and rabbits.
